Dan & Stephen
Hello! We’re Dan and Stephen.
And we’re so grateful that you're looking at our book and getting to know us. We’re excited to start our adoption journey and grow our family.
As children, each of us were fortunate to befriend several children that were adopted and know what a blessing adoption is. As adults, we’re happy to be in a position where we can provide a warm, safe, and loving home. In our wedding vows, we pledged to love unconditionally, keep an open heart and mind, communicate freely, and do our level best each day. As such, we plan on making these vows part of our adopted child’s daily life. Please follow along to get to know us a bit more.
How We Met
By Stephen
Dan and I met through work in 2013. We quickly became best friends and dated for five years. We have many similar interests and hobbies, and most desire to adopt a child and provide a loving home and childhood. We were married in 2018 at a beautiful ceremony surrounded by family and friends in Asheville!
Meet Dan
Hi, I’m Dan! I was born in Massachusetts, and grew up in South Carolina. I’m the oldest of two children and have a younger sister, and phenomenal parents. My mom, sister, and I are blessed to have my wonderful stepfather, in our lives since 1994. He and my mother have made life fun and taught me so much! I attended The University of South Carolina and made many lifelong friends along the way. I work in commercial real estate and am fortunate to be able to work from home. I’m looking forward to being home when our child returns from school and hearing all about their day. In my free time I love to garden, read, cook, and plan our next travel adventure!
Meet Stephen
Hi, I’m Stephen! I grew up in Charlotte, NC and am the eldest of two boys. I have amazing parents who have unconditionally loved and supported me throughout my life. I graduated from The University of North Carolina Charlotte with degrees in Accounting and Finance. During the pandemic, I picked up a woodworking hobby and have enjoyed making gifts for family and friends. I also enjoy reading, traveling, and baking. I currently work for the state and love that my job offers flexibility so that I can maximize my time with my family.
Should you decide to give us this most precious gift, we promise to:
Love unconditionally.
Instill a sense of self-worth and purpose.
Pass along family values.
Provide the best education possible.
Provide a safe and welcoming home to grow up in and thrive.
Create an environment of learning and fun for this child that can be passed on in the future.
Remind our child that his/her mother made the most selfless and
courageous decision for him/her, and that you will always be the only mother in this child's life.
Thank you for taking time to learn more about us.
